Hull City v Brentford live: score, updates and line-ups

Hull City and Brentford shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the MKM Stadium. McBurnie's first-half penalty, won after Hickey's booking, gave Hull the lead at the break, but Brentford's pressure told when Ouattara turned home from close range after Igor Thiago's work midway through the second half. Both sides pushed for a winner late on, with Gelhardt and Wilson both seeing efforts fail to find the target, but the scoreline stayed level through four minutes of stoppage time. Brentford edged the overall shot count and had more on target, though Hull's defence held firm to secure a share of the spoils.

Brentford have continued to edge the closing stages, nudging ahead on shots, shots on target and corners since the last update, with Ouattara forcing another save from Tzolakis before being replaced by Wilson. Hull have had their moments too, with Belloumi and substitute Gelhardt both seeing efforts fly over, but neither side has been able to find a winner as it stands 1-1 heading into stoppage time.

Brentford get their reward for sustained pressure - Ouattara pokes home from close range after Igor Thiago's work, levelling things at 1-1 just moments after a double change from the visitors. Both sides continue to go for it, with chances at either end since from Anthony, Cho and Slater, but the score remains level heading into the closing stages.

Brentford have continued to push since the break, edging possession and forcing a couple more corners as they chase an equaliser. Tzolakis has been the busiest man on the pitch, saving well from Van den Berg's header and then denying Ouattara from close range, while Belloumi's blocked effort was Hull's only real sight of goal. The visitors' extra pressure hasn't yet told on the scoreboard, with Hull's 1-0 lead still intact.

Brentford have responded well since going behind, edging possession and winning a string of corners as they search for a leveller - Ouattara had a effort blocked after good work from Kayode. Hull are having to dig in a bit more now, with Egan and Herrington both forced into defensive work, but the back line is holding firm and the 1-0 scoreline remains intact heading towards half-time.

McBurnie makes no mistake from the spot, sending Kelleher the wrong way after Hickey's clumsy foul on Iroegbunam saw the Brentford man booked. Hull deservedly lead and have had a real purple patch, piling on the corners before that spot-kick breakthrough.

A bright opening quarter at the MKM with chances at both ends. Hull have had the lion's share of possession and forced a couple of corners, with Iroegbunam and Belloumi both going close, but Tzolakis has had to be alert too, saving well from Van den Berg early on and then from Hickey's effort. It's been end-to-end without either side finding a breakthrough, with Coyle's offside flag the latest moment to note.
